Iconic Himalayan Buddhist Architecture

Images of just a few of the wonderful Himalayan Buddhist buildings I have been fortunate to visit. There is a special feeling on entering these old buildings. The smell of incense & butter lamps are one of the first things to hit the senses along with the dim light. To sit in on one of the rituals transports one back in time as the continuation of the Buddhist Dharma flows unchanged through the generations. Although mostly destroyed in Tibet, other areas of the Himalaya’s still have a strong authentic Buddhist culture.
